Verano Holdings is preparing to open MÜV Fernandina Beach in Florida on Friday, November 6, extending its retail network as the US cannabis operator continues to add locations. The company announced the expansion on Wednesday, November 4, according to Markets Insider, which republished the GlobeNewswire release.

New store lifts Florida presence

The Fernandina Beach dispensary on Amelia Island will be Verano's second location in Nassau County, alongside MÜV Yulee. The opening will raise the company's Florida footprint to 87 MÜV locations and its nationwide total to 164 dispensaries.

The store will serve medical cannabis patients from Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time, and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. local time on Friday.

Retail scale remains the focus

Verano said its operations span 13 US states, supported by 14 cultivation and processing facilities and more than 1.1 million square feet of cultivation capacity. The company also offers cannabis products across medical and adult-use markets through brands including MÜV, Verano, Savvy, Avexia, Encore, HYPHEN and Zen Leaf.

The latest opening follows Verano's third-quarter report on October 29, when the company reported revenue of USD 212.443 million and a net loss of USD 4.065 million for the quarter. Management also raised its 2026 capital expenditure guidance to between USD 54 million and USD 60 million.

For investors, the Fernandina Beach opening provides a near-term test of Verano's retail expansion strategy. The new location adds capacity in a county with more than 106,000 residents, while promotional discounts of up to 60 percent are planned for the opening event.
