Behind the headline-grabbing volatility at Sivers Semiconductors lies a different story: the company’s top brass are putting their own money on the line. Between 8 and 10 July, CEO Vickram Vathulya purchased 24,000 shares at an average price of $4.11, an outlay of nearly $98,640. He was joined by several board members — Karin Raj bought 13,264 shares at 34.68 Swedish kronor, Joakim Nideborn picked up 11,425 shares at 41.74 kronor, Helena Svancar added 11,019 shares at 3.65 kronor, and Todd Thomson executed a purchase worth more than 500,000 kronor on 8 July. All transactions are recorded in the Swedish financial regulator’s insider register, and such a concentrated buying spree from both management and the board within a few days is rare — a strong vote of confidence that the recent sell-off has overshot.

The timing is notable. The stock closed on Friday at €4.25, up 2.41% on the day, but that small bounce did little to mask a brutal week: a seven-day drop of 18.27% and a 30-day decline of 38.54%. From the 52-week high of €10.23 reached on 3 June, the shares have now corrected 58.46%. Yet for anyone who bought at the 52-week low of €0.27 on 3 March, the paper gain still stands at a staggering 1,503.77% — a reminder of just how extreme the swings have been.

Amid the price turbulence, the operational side tells a more encouraging tale. Sivers has confirmed an $8.2 million order from ALL.SPACE for Ka-band integrated circuits used in satellite communications. That contract is not an isolated win: the company’s total commercial pipeline is now estimated at roughly $800 million. Investors will be watching closely to see how much of that pipeline converts into revenue, especially given that the stock’s trading volume has made Sivers one of the 15 most-watched equities on the Swedish exchange in the second week of July, ranked alongside Saab and Microsoft.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Sivers Semiconductors?

A parallel strategic push is underway for a dual listing in the United States. The management has published an adjusted 2025 annual report aligned with US accounting standards, and plans to list on the Nasdaq within the next two to three quarters. The move is intended to boost liquidity and attract specialist semiconductor investors in North America. To meet the stricter reporting requirements, the financial calendar has been reset: the second-quarter report shifts to 27 August, and the third-quarter report to 26 November. Vathulya has said the extra time is needed to improve the accuracy and transparency of the numbers.

From a technical perspective, the current price of €4.25 sits 31.73% below the 50-day moving average of €6.23, but remains above the 100-day average of €3.73 — a level that could act as psychological support for private investors. The relative strength index stands at 39.2, approaching but not yet in oversold territory. The annualised 30-day volatility is an eye-watering 222.42%, suggesting that violent price moves are likely to persist. Additional upside could come from US CHIPS Act funding: Sivers is evaluating grant opportunities for its satellite communications and 5G/6G technology. With a market capitalisation of roughly €1.12 billion, the company’s valuation remains highly sensitive to the wild swings of recent weeks. Whether the insider buying proves prescient will become clearer when the delayed second-quarter numbers are released at the end of August.
