Exploration efforts in Chile by Marimaca Copper are yielding significant new discoveries, reinforcing the company's expansion strategy. As its flagship MOD project approaches a final investment decision, a separate drilling campaign at the Pampa Medina property is reporting high-grade copper and silver intercepts. These findings have the potential to substantially increase long-term production capacity beyond the currently planned output of 50,000 tonnes of copper cathode per year.
Strategic Resource Expansion at Pampa Medina
Recent data from the drill program at the Pampa Medina deposit, located approximately 28 kilometers from the main project, confirm a significant extension of mineralization. Two intercepts are particularly notable. Assays identified 36 meters grading 1.08% copper and 13.8 grams of silver per tonne, starting at a depth of 158 meters. Deeper drilling intersected a further 24 meters containing 1.37% copper.
These results validate the company's geological model and indicate the deposit remains open to the west. For Marimaca Copper, this represents a crucial component of its strategy to develop additional resources beyond its primary asset, thereby diversifying project risk through a dual-track development approach.

Financial Standing and Upcoming Catalysts
Despite these operational advances, the company's shares marked a new five-year low on Friday, closing at 4.96 euros. The focus now shifts to securing the necessary financing for the MOD project while integrating the promising new data from Pampa Medina into its long-term growth plans.
