Nebius Shares Recover as TTRF Capital's $89.2 Million Bet Offsets Insider Sales and Meta Jitters

Nebius is sending mixed signals. While top executives have been cashing out shares by the hundreds of thousands, institutional money is flowing in the opposite direction—and for now, the bulls are winning. The stock closed at 189.42 euros on Wednesday, recovering from a seven-day losing streak that had pulled the price down by more than 10%.
The turnaround began midweek when a Securities and Exchange Commission filing revealed that TTRF Capital has built an outsized position in the AI infrastructure provider. The investment firm reported that Nebius accounted for 58.8% of its disclosed equity holdings—worth $89.2 million by the end of the reporting period. Market participants viewed the move as a strong endorsement of the so-called neocloud segment, where Nebius competes with GPU clusters and natively AI-focused infrastructure.
The day of the filing, the stock jumped 5.79% to 181.00 euros, snapping the slide. Since then, the price has extended its recovery above the 189-euro level, though it remains well below the 52-week high of 261.00 euros reached on June 22.
A major catalyst fueling the renewed optimism is the launch of Saturn Cloud on the Nebius AI Cloud Marketplace. The partnership, which went live on July 7, allows customers to deploy Saturn Cloud's fine-tuning and model-serving tools directly on Nebius's infrastructure, which runs on NVIDIA Hopper and Blackwell GPUs. Users can set up OpenAI-compatible endpoints in a self-service model and pay per token, eliminating manual integration work. The offering strengthens Nebius's ecosystem as a vertically integrated cloud provider, giving it a more complete suite of AI development tools.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nebius?
That strength is reflected in the company's financials. In the first quarter of 2026, Nebius reported revenue of $399 million, a massive jump from prior periods, and a per-share loss of just 23 cents—far better than analyst forecasts. The company is pressing ahead with ambitious expansion plans, targeting up to one gigawatt of power capacity by the end of the year.
Yet the stock remains haunted by fears that tech giants could crowd the market. Reports in early July suggested that Meta Platforms might lease out excess GPU capacity, sparking a sharp sell-off. Analysts at Roth Capital and SemiAnalysis have dismissed the concern as overblown, arguing that Meta needs the capacity internally and that overall demand for AI compute far outstrips supply.
While institutional investors like TTRF Capital and State Street have been adding to their positions, company insiders have been heading for the exit. Thirty-five insider sales have been recorded over the past six months. In June, sales chief Marc Boroditsky sold a multimillion-euro block of stock. Infrastructure chief Andrey Korolenko disposed of more than half a million shares in May. More recently, CEO Arkadiy Volozh and CTO Danila Shtan also reduced their holdings—Shtan sold 16,937 shares at an average price of $235.45 on July 1.
Nebius at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
Chart analysis reflects the current tug-of-war. The 200-day moving average sits near 117 euros, well below the current price and offering a solid floor. But the stock remains 6.65% below its 50-day moving average, and the 14-day relative strength index of 42.5 indicates it has left overbought territory without tipping into oversold conditions.
Time will tell whether institutional conviction or insider caution shapes the next chapter. The market is now looking ahead to second-quarter results, expected in late July or early August of this year. Until then, the competing signals are likely to keep Nebius in a state of volatile equilibrium.
