Nvidia is widening its influence in artificial intelligence on two separate fronts this week, combining a deepening of chip-design software alliances with the formal confirmation of a billion-dollar equity stake in South Korea’s Naver. The moves, announced within days of each other, underscore the chipmaker’s ambition to evolve from a hardware supplier into the backbone of entire AI ecosystems.

On the software side, Nvidia used the DAC chip-design conference to unveil expanded collaborations with Siemens and Silvaco, both of which are embedding the company’s AI tools deeper into semiconductor development workflows. Siemens is rolling out a self-verifying AI agent system called Fuse EDA AI Agent, which marries its own engineering expertise with Nvidia’s infrastructure. The solution taps Nvidia’s open-source NeMo Gym library and the secure runtime environment OpenShell, allowing large teams to deploy autonomous agents with full audit trails and access controls. Siemens is also integrating Nvidia’s Nemotron 3 Ultra reasoning model, designed for long-running, complex agent tasks, building on the recently launched Questa One Agentic Toolkit.

Silvaco, meanwhile, is using Nvidia’s accelerated computing to create digital twins for semiconductor design and manufacturing. In a demonstration, the company simulated a photonic edge coupler in full 3D resolution, a model containing 3.2 billion computational nodes. Running on 32 Nvidia GPUs linked via NVLink, the simulation completed in under four hours — a task that failed to finish on traditional processors. The result deviated from real-world measurements by less than 0.15 decibels. “The fusion of physics-based simulation, accelerated computing and artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming design and manufacturing,” said Silvaco CEO Walden C. Rhines.

These partnerships are not new in principle. Nvidia already has a $2 billion capital stake in Synopsys, announced in December 2025, and a broader alliance with Siemens was unveiled at CES in January 2026, targeting fully AI-driven manufacturing facilities starting with the Siemens Electronics Factory in Erlangen. The DAC announcements represent technical extensions of those existing agreements, focusing specifically on chip verification, layout planning and digital twin simulation.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nvidia?

Separately, South Korean internet giant Naver confirmed via a regulatory filing in Seoul on Monday that Nvidia has taken a $1 billion equity stake in the company. Nvidia receives 7.2 million newly issued shares, giving it a roughly 4.5 percent holding. The deal was signed on Friday at the AI Summit in San Francisco, with Monday’s filing serving as the formal administrative step. The investment is part of a broader $10 billion project with investment firm Brookfield to expand the GAK Sejong data center. By 2028, the facility is expected to reach 200 megawatts of capacity, running on Nvidia’s Vera Rubin and Blackwell architectures. The stated goal is to create a sovereign AI infrastructure for South Korea, independent of foreign cloud providers.

Nvidia also introduced updated software libraries at the conference, including PhysicsNeMo and CUDA-X, which equip AI agents with specialized physics capabilities such as accelerated solvers and quantum chemistry tools. The company’s own research agent, ACE-RTL, running on the Nemotron 3 Ultra model, has already demonstrated top-tier results in automated coding for register-transfer level tasks, a critical step in chip design. Cadence, Siemens and Synopsys are integrating these tools into their electronic design automation environments. Early performance data shows that logic simulation and formal verification run up to 1.5 times faster on Nvidia’s Vera CPUs.

At the stock market, the reaction has been muted. Nvidia shares closed at €182.00 on Friday, down 0.80 percent from the prior day, and traded at €183.00 on Monday, a gain of 0.55 percent. The stock remains 9.6 percent below its 52-week high of €202.50 from May 14, 2026, but well above the year’s low of €139.78 from September 2025. On a year-to-date basis, shares are up 13.55 percent and trade 9.56 percent above their 200-day moving average of €166.11. The relative strength index sits at 53.7, signaling neutral momentum — neither overbought nor oversold.

Nvidia at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

The market appears to be digesting both the software push and the Korea deal, with investors likely waiting for concrete revenue contributions to materialize in future earnings reports. This week could bring more direction: Microsoft and Meta are set to report quarterly results, and both are among Nvidia’s largest hardware customers. Their capital expenditure plans for AI infrastructure will offer a real-time gauge of whether demand for Nvidia’s combined chip-and-software package is accelerating or plateauing.
