A comprehensive multi-method analysis of its Atikokan rare earth elements (REE) project in northwestern Ontario has been completed by Powermax Minerals, with results announced on March 26, 2026. Exploration Portfolio and Project Expansion

Beyond the flagship Atikokan asset, Powermax holds option agreements on two additional properties. These include the Cameron REE project in British Columbia, covering approximately 2,984 hectares, and the Pinard REE project in Northern Ontario, spanning 5,178 hectares. The company expanded its Atikokan land package in January 2026 by staking two adjacent claim blocks consisting of 37 new claims. These new claims also exhibit elevated thorium/potassium (Th/K) ratios and phosphate-rich NYF geochemical signatures, which are considered prospective.

The core interpretation is underpinned by an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey. This high-resolution data was collected in October 2025 by Geo Data Solutions Inc., utilizing a 50-meter line spacing and a 25-meter grid resolution.

Dual Mineralization Environments Define Targets

A key outcome of the analysis is the identification of two distinct mineralization environments on the property. The primary target has been designated as the Dashwa Gneiss Complex, located within Blocks B and C. Here, structurally controlled rare earth element mineralization—hosted primarily in monazite and allanite—is associated with shear zones and lithological contacts.

Geochemical sampling supports this focus. Soil samples have returned total rare earth oxide (TREO) values of up to 615.8 parts per million (ppm), while rock samples have assayed up to 503.3 ppm TREO. The company emphasizes that these values are indicative of concentrated rare earth zones typical of early-stage exploration systems and do not constitute evidence of a mineral resource.

Path Forward: Defining Drill Targets

The immediate corporate objective is to advance the Atikokan project to a drill-ready status, a milestone the company states it has not yet achieved. The newly defined target corridors within the Dashwa Gneiss Complex are expected to form the foundation for this critical step. Powermax has not provided a specific timeline for when a concrete drilling program might commence.
