ABO Energy Notches Solar Handover and Wind Sale, but Renningen Revocation Cuts Both Ways

ABO Energy completed a 26.25 MWp French solar plant and sold a 33.6 MW German wind farm to BKW, but Renningen revoked a six-turbine agreement.

ABO Energy has delivered two concrete project milestones in quick succession — a completed solar plant in France and a wind farm sold to a Swiss utility — yet a municipal reversal on a separate German project argues against reading any single announcement as proof of a frictionless pipeline.

Presnoy: developed, built, handed over

In the Loiret department of France, ABO Energy and Tenergie inaugurated the Presnoy solar park on Friday, according to media reports. ABO Energy developed and constructed the facility and then sold it on; Tenergie holds ownership. The plant's capacity stands at 26.25 MWp, or 26.25 MWc under Tenergie's designation, and it is expected to generate 31 GWh of electricity annually.

The division of labor matters here. ABO Energy's role covered development and construction, while the asset itself belongs to Tenergie. That expected output figure describes what the project can do — it is neither a revenue forecast nor an earnings statement for ABO Energy. Nor does the inauguration represent a fresh order: the event marked the completion of a plant that had already been built.

Ă–hringen-Karlsfurt: sold, but still being built

A different phase of the project cycle is on display in the wind segment. BKW disclosed on Monday that it had acquired the Ă–hringen-Karlsfurt wind farm from ABO Energy. The purchase agreement was signed in early October. The park comprises seven turbines with a combined 33.6 MW of capacity, with commissioning targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying ABO Energy?

BKW expects the site to produce more than 80 GWh of power per year — a forward-looking figure tied to future operation, not output already achieved. And ABO Energy's involvement does not stop at the sale: the company is handling the project on a turnkey basis, so the handover of ownership and the construction work run in parallel. That distinguishes Öhringen-Karlsfurt from Presnoy, where the focus was the inauguration of a finished facility rather than an owner change paired with ongoing build-out.

Separately, ABO Energy announced on 21 September that it had secured awards in the Bundesnetzagentur's August tender. Those awards cover three wind projects totaling 102.2 MW and represent a further step for other ventures, distinct from both the sales and the inauguration.

Renningen: a revocation, not a verdict

The counterweight comes from Renningen. According to media reports, the municipality revoked an agreement with ABO Energy for a planned six-turbine wind farm. That is a genuine setback for that particular project. Treating the revocation as a final failure would be just as hasty as ignoring it altogether.

ABO Energy at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

These differing project stages are precisely what should shape any assessment. An inaugurated solar park, a sold wind farm awaiting commissioning, and a revoked agreement are not interchangeable headlines.

The upshot is deliberately mixed: the project successes speak for ABO Energy, while the Renningen episode argues against blanket confidence in every venture. The scale of the day's share price move — up 29%, with some accounts citing 33% — does not settle that balance either way, and no direct link between the project news and the size of the advance has been confirmed. What counts is not the magnitude of the market reaction but how far each project has actually progressed.
