The forced selling is over, and the rebound is on. Almonty Industries has clawed back roughly 13.94 percent over a two-day stretch this week, a clear sign that the technical pressure tied to its Toronto Stock Exchange exit has finally lifted. The stock added 5.40 percent on Tuesday and followed with another 4.17 percent gain the next session, snapping a five-week slide that had knocked 17.27 percent off the share price.

That sell-off was never about the underlying business. When Almonty voluntarily delisted from the TSX on July 31, 2026, the move triggered automatic removal from a host of Canadian and global small-cap benchmarks, including the FTSE Global Small Cap Index. Passive funds and ETFs tracking those indices had no choice but to dump their positions before the cutoff date. With that overhang now cleared, market watchers see the current bounce as evidence that the index-driven liquidation has run its course.

The Toronto departure is just one leg of a broader restructuring. Almonty is consolidating its trading liquidity on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker ALM, while keeping its Frankfurt secondary listing intact. Management points to the significantly higher trading volumes on the US exchange as the primary motivation, along with reduced administrative costs and a simpler compliance burden. Fewer primary listings, the argument goes, mean a leaner and more efficient capital markets profile.

Next up is the exit from the Australian Securities Exchange, which has already green-lit the move. The final trading day for Almonty's CHESS Depositary Interests will be August 28, 2026, with the formal delisting taking effect on September 1. Australian shareholders have three paths forward: sell on the ASX before the cutoff, convert their CDIs into Nasdaq shares on a 1:1 basis, or wait and use a voluntary sell-down facility that will remain open through November.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Almonty?

Once that last step is complete, Almonty will trade on exactly two venues: New York and Frankfurt.

Operationally, the company is hitting its stride at a crucial moment. The Sangdong mine in South Korea has been processing ore since July 1, 2026, and has now reached regular production of saleable tungsten concentrate. The plant is working through an initial stockpile of roughly 139,700 tonnes of run-of-mine material, carrying an estimated gross value of $68 million. CEO Lewis Black has framed the ramp-up in strategic terms, noting that Western governments are actively seeking to reduce their reliance on China for critical minerals — a dynamic that positions Sangdong as a key non-Chinese source of tungsten.

The revenue picture is bolstered by an extended off-take agreement with Global Tungsten & Powders. The contract now runs 21 years and covers 90 percent of Phase 1 output, which at current market prices translates to around $490 million in annual sales.

Almonty at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Investors get their next look at the numbers on Monday, August 17, when Almonty reports second-quarter results before the market opens. The focus will be on the production ramp-up curve at Sangdong and the first revenue figures since the plant came online. Management has already flagged a Phase 2 expansion slated for 2027 that would double processing capacity to 1.2 million tonnes of ore per year — a reminder that the current milestones are only the opening chapter of a much larger story.
