Battery X Metals Strengthens Leadership and Funding as Battery Rebalancing Tech Gains Traction
Published on 08/14/2026 at 18:25 | Redaktion boerse-global.deThe Canadian technology firm Battery X Metals is pushing forward on multiple fronts, combining a new executive appointment with fresh capital to advance its patented lithium-ion battery rebalancing platform and secure key mineral claims in Saskatchewan.
New President Brings EV and Battery Expertise
William Fan has officially stepped into the role of President at Battery X Metals, effective immediately. Fan's background spans the full spectrum of the electric vehicle ecosystem — from EV manufacturing and battery recycling to energy storage systems and capital markets. His resume includes leading a bidding process for ElectraMeccanica, co-founding the Volta Foundation, representing Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Summit, and participating in COP28.
The company has tasked Fan with driving its technology and corporate development strategy, with particular emphasis on the patent-pending battery rebalancing platform that sits at the heart of its current R&D efforts.
Funding Round Closes Second Tranche
Alongside the leadership change, Battery X Metals announced the completion of the second tranche of its private placement. The company issued 41,185 units at C$2.75 per unit, generating gross proceeds of C$113,260.95. Combined with the first tranche, the placement has now raised over C$713,261.45 from more than 259,367 units in total.

Each unit consists of one share and one warrant, exercisable at C$3.00 per share until August 2028. Additional tranches are anticipated through early September.
Saskatchewan Lithium Claims Secured
A portion of the new capital is earmarked for the company's resource portfolio. Subsidiary YY Resources has paid C$54,039.40 in compensation to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources, keeping four mining claims at the Y Lithium Project in good standing through mid-May 2027. The project spans 5,856 hectares within the Ennadai greenstone belt.
Management is currently evaluating proposals for an initial geological mapping and sampling program, with cost estimates coming in at approximately C$127,425. A LiDAR survey valued at roughly C$71,078 was completed last year to strengthen the geological data foundation.
Real-World Testing Shows Range Improvements
Recent test results have bolstered the company's technological case. Media reports indicate the battery rebalancing system demonstrated potential range improvements of up to 255 kilometers in real-world driving trials. Battery X Metals is expanding compatibility across multiple vehicle platforms, with adapters in development for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq, Chevrolet Volt, and the VMC 1200 electric truck.
In mid-July, the company completed development of a proprietary adapter for the Nissan Leaf, ensuring compatibility across all North American battery configurations for that model.
Market Response
Investors reacted positively to the announcements, with the stock climbing 7.4 percent to €1.75 in recent trading. The shares have moved roughly 10 percent above their 50-day average of €1.61, though the stock still sits about 22 percent below its level at the start of the year. Despite the recent recovery, the shares have yet to fully erase earlier losses, though they have moved considerably off their 52-week low.
