Deutsche Telekom has scheduled a press conference in Munich for 9 November 2026 to present its "AI Factory 2.0," with digital sovereignty for customers in Germany and Europe at the centre of the agenda. The event caps a busy stretch in which the Bonn-based group paired strong third-quarter figures with a raised full-year outlook, a higher proposed dividend and a fresh push into energy-efficient AI computing.

The AI Factory presentation follows a memorandum of understanding between T-Systems and Sparxity to collaborate on energy-efficient AI data-centre infrastructure. The two signed the agreement on Tuesday at the Digital Summit, with the Dresden-based AI infrastructure specialist acting as cooperation partner. Under the plan, Sparxity's energy-efficient AI computing technology will be integrated and validated for Telekom data centres, combining the next chip generation with T-Systems infrastructure. Rollout of that generation is targeted for 2028.

Digital euro consortium wins ECB mandate

Telekom's infrastructure ambitions extend beyond its own facilities. Nexi Payments and Deutsche Telekom Business Solutions, bidding as a joint consortium, were selected by the European Central Bank to provide connectivity services for the digital euro. The ECB announced the award on 30 October, with the consortium emerging as the top-ranked provider. The contract initially covers pilot operations.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Deutsche Telekom?

On the mobile side, Telekom reported yesterday its 15th consecutive victory in the Computer BILD network test, earning an overall grade of "very good (1.2)." According to the company, its network led rivals on both 5G availability and speed, and it also singled out latency as a strength.

Guidance lifted after strong quarter

Those infrastructure themes sit against a strong financial backdrop. In third-quarter 2026 results published on Thursday, organic group revenue rose 5.5% to EUR 31.1 billion. Adjusted EBITDA AL climbed 8.0% organically to EUR 12.2 billion, while adjusted net profit advanced 12.7% to EUR 3.0 billion.

Management now expects full-year adjusted EBITDA AL of around EUR 47.6 billion and free cash flow AL of roughly EUR 20.1 billion. The board intends to propose a dividend of EUR 1.10 per share. Results for the fourth quarter and the full 2026 financial year are due on 25 February 2027.

The AI partnership is not T-Systems' only recent tie-up. On 28 October, Banco Sabadell reached an agreement with T-Systems to expand its use of agent-based AI across the banking group.
