Lenovo's Autonomous-Driving Server Deal Lands Alongside TIME Ranking and Convertible-Bond Cleanup

Lenovo has moved on several fronts at once, pairing a new autonomous-driving computing alliance with a fresh spot on a global corporate ranking and a tidy-up of its convertible-bond obligations.
At the center of the hardware push is a reported strategic partnership with HL Klemove to co-develop high-performance computers for autonomous driving. The tie-up is structured in stages: an initial development phase, followed by concrete supply orders and industrial-scale serial production of the systems. News of the agreement surfaced the same day Lenovo unveiled separate plans to deliver sovereign edge-AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, combining MemryX's Cascade 100P accelerator chip with the company's ThinkEdge SE455 V3 server.
Those moves sit alongside a broader refresh of Lenovo's enterprise portfolio. The company is pitching virtualized IT environments designed to run complex artificial-intelligence workloads more efficiently, and it has widened its lineup of modular Lenovo Express Solutions together with implementation services branded Lenovo Premier Deploy for Infrastructure. Pre-built configurations and accompanying support are meant to cut the setup burden for large customers retrofitting existing data-center infrastructure for AI.
A First for the TIME List
Recognition arrived on 14 September, when Lenovo cracked the TIME list of the world's best companies for 2026 for the first time, landing at No. 51 globally. The group posted an overall score of 87.51 points, with its growth performance rated especially strong. Among roughly 600 companies assessed, Lenovo notched the highest overall score in its industry, building on earlier top placements in 2022 and 2025.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Lenovo?
On the sponsorship side, the technology group said on a Sunday that it would partner with the Olympic Council of Asia, serving as an official solutions and services partner through 2030 to underpin future AI-driven sporting events. In Japan, it will supply PC systems and related services for the 20th Asian Games and the 5th Asian Para Games, a role announced on the Monday.
Sustainability efforts within its channel got a boost the same Monday, when Schneider Electric joined the Lenovo 360 Circle as a strategic partner. The collaboration is aimed at supplying decarbonization expertise and specialized management tools to IT resellers, marrying the reach of Lenovo's network with Schneider Electric's consulting know-how in carbon management.
Balance-Sheet Housekeeping
While those operational projects unfolded, Lenovo also tidied its financing structure. After issuing the relevant shares, management applied to the Hong Kong exchange to halt trading in those securities. The step bolsters the group's equity base and clears liabilities under its convertible-bond program ahead of schedule.
In the market, the stock has stayed within striking distance of its highs after a strong run. It changed hands at EUR 4.04 on one session, a decline of 1.3 percent from the prior day, and at EUR 4.02 on a Thursday, down 1.9 percent, leaving it just 4.6 percent below its 52-week peak of EUR 4.21 set on 18 September.
Investors now have their eyes on the operating picture, with the next set of business figures due on 29 October, a date that should show how far the recent sales wins and partnerships have fed through to the company's financials.
