Lenzing Kicks Off Heiligenkreuz Bidding in November While Digesting Its EUR 301 Million Cash Call
Published on 11/01/2026 at 06:10 | Editorial boerse-global.deLenzing has set November as the month when bids are due for its Heiligenkreuz plant, according to a report from APA, even as the fibre maker keeps the site running at full staffing through the end of March 2027. The sale process is already under way, and the production commitment explicitly covers the full workforce at the site.
Word of the disposal timetable landed alongside a soft session for the stock. Lenzing shares shed 2.5% on Friday to close at EUR 10.80, caught in a broader pullback on the Vienna exchange that dpa-AFX attributed to rising oil and gas prices and weakness in international technology names. AT&S, voestalpine, BAWAG and Raiffeisen were among the other decliners, though the report identified no single common trigger for their losses.
A Register Reshaped by the Rights Issue
The company also published the post-rights-issue figures that now define its share base. Lenzing reported 73,374,542 voting rights in total and share capital of EUR 76,204,702.90, with the change effective from 22 October. The disclosure reflects the position after the capital increase, not any further measure.

That raise, completed earlier, generated gross proceeds of roughly EUR 301.2 million from 34,756,362 newly issued shares. The subscription price was EUR 8.65 per share, per ORF. Shareholders took up 34,411,626 shares through the subscription offer, leaving the unplaced stock to be sold on the market by the syndicate banks; ORF put existing holders' take-up at 99% of the new shares.
Ownership remains concentrated. The syndicate of B&C-Gruppe and Suzano S.A. continues to hold about 52.25% of voting rights, keeping a majority in its hands. Suzano Holding S.A. picked up roughly 0.80% of Lenzing shares directly as part of the raise. Goldman Sachs Group was reported at 5.86%.
Deutsche Bank Trims Its Target
Analyst sentiment has moved in the other direction. Deutsche Bank cut its price target on Lenzing to EUR 12.70 from EUR 22.00, according to media reports, while keeping its rating at "Hold."
Investors now look to the next confirmed date on the corporate calendar: third-quarter 2026 results, scheduled for 5 November 2026, with the financial calendar indicating a window from 15:00 to 16:00 CET.
