Lenzing has set November as the window for bids on its Heiligenkreuz site, opening a sale process that will run alongside continued fibre output at the facility. According to an APA report, production there is to carry on with the full workforce until the end of March 2027 — a detail that keeps the plant running well past the point when offers are expected to land.

The Austrian fibre maker's shares slipped 2.5% on Friday to close at EUR 10.80 in a soft Vienna session. AT&S, voestalpine, BAWAG and Raiffeisen were among the other decliners cited in media coverage of the day's trading, though the reports stopped short of naming a single common trigger for the losses.

A Register Rewritten by the Cash Call

Friday's price move came as investors digested the company's mandatory disclosure on its post-rights-issue share structure. Lenzing reported total voting rights of 73,374,542, with share capital of EUR 76,204,702.90. The change took effect on 22 October, and the filing therefore captures both the new voting-rights base and the capital level following the issuance of the new shares.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Lenzing?

The capital increase, wrapped up roughly two weeks ago, saw Lenzing place 34,756,362 new shares at an issue price of EUR 8.65 apiece, generating gross proceeds of about EUR 301.2 million. Subscription rights accounted for the bulk of the take-up: 34,411,626 shares, or 99% of the new stock, went to holders exercising their entitlements. The remainder was placed on the market.

Ownership remains concentrated. The shareholder syndicate of B&C-Gruppe and Suzano S.A. continues to hold around 52.25% of voting rights, keeping a majority in its hands. Suzano Holding S.A. separately acquired roughly 0.80% of Lenzing directly, while Goldman Sachs Group appears in the disclosed ownership structure with 5.86%.

What Comes Next

The next scheduled date on the corporate calendar is 5 November 2026, when Lenzing intends to publish third-quarter results. The company has earmarked a window from 15:00 to 16:00 CET for the release.
