Nestlé Divests SimplyCook While Confirming Mid-Term Targets and Reshuffling U.S. Production
Published on 11/07/2026 at 18:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deNestlé has agreed to sell its British recipe-kit business SimplyCook to Jardox, a move the Swiss food giant said on Tuesday supports its push to simplify operations and sharpen its focus on growth. The disposal, announced alongside a string of other corporate developments, reflects the company's own strategic priorities rather than any shift in its headline financial outlook.
That outlook remains intact. In its third-quarter 2026 report published on 22 October, Nestlé posted organic growth of 4.0% and reaffirmed full-year guidance covering growth, operating margin and free cash flow. Third-quarter sales came in at CHF 22.8 billion, according to company figures, and management continues to expect organic growth of 3–4% for the full year 2026.
Margin and Cash Flow Targets Held
On profitability, the group is guiding toward an improvement in its underlying operating margin — the UTOP margin — compared with 2025. Free cash flow is projected to exceed CHF 9 billion. The consolidation perimeter has also shifted: since the end of September 2026, the Russian business is no longer included in the group's financial statements.
U.S. Production Shifting from Ohio to South Carolina
Across the Atlantic, Nestlé is planning to relocate production of its foodservice pouches. According to media reports dated 20 October, manufacturing will gradually move from Solon in Ohio to Gaffney in South Carolina. Production in Solon is expected to end in the third quarter of 2027, with Nestlé USA planning to close the plant by the end of that year.

Partnerships Span Biodiversity and Winter Sport
Two separate collaborations round out the recent news flow. Nestlé and BirdLife Europe unveiled a three-and-a-half-year partnership on 30 October aimed at examining how regenerative agriculture affects biodiversity on European farmland. Monitoring begins in 2026 in Spain and Poland, with an expansion to Belgium slated for 2027.
On the sporting side, Nestlé and Swiss-Ski announced a three-year partnership roughly a week ago, signed at the company's headquarters in La Tour-de-Peilz. Nestlé becomes an official silver partner and will back young athletes, with brands including Cailler, Thomy and Nescafé involved.
Shares Slip With the Broader Market
The stock came under pressure in a weak Swiss market, with Dow Jones reporting that negative cues from the U.S. weighed on Swiss equities following a selloff on Wall Street the previous Thursday. The report cited no company-specific trigger for Nestlé's decline. Shares fell 1.4% to close at EUR 93.40.
