Nordex has raised its profitability target for 2026, and the market rewarded the move — but the analyst community remains sharply divided over how much of the improvement is already priced in.

Shares in the wind turbine maker climbed 4.3% following the release of third-quarter figures, which paired a doubling of operating profit with a more optimistic full-year margin outlook. The stock reaction came even as brokerage recommendations continued to span the full spectrum, from Buy to Underperform.

Guidance Raised on Stronger Earnings

Nordex now expects an EBITDA margin of 11.5% to 12.5% for the 2026 financial year, up from a previous range of 8.0% to 11.0%.

The upgrade followed a robust third quarter. Revenue for the period reached EUR 2.19 billion, while EBITDA more than doubled to EUR 278.2 million from EUR 135.9 million a year earlier. The EBITDA margin for the quarter came in at 12.7%. Bottom-line profit rose to EUR 147.1 million, compared with EUR 51.7 million in the same period of the prior year.

Two Desks, Two Verdicts

Deutsche Bank Research kept its Buy rating and a EUR 59 price target, with the quarterly performance and the company's comments on the final three months of the year both seen as encouraging.

Jefferies likewise reaffirmed its Buy call, maintaining a EUR 63 target. Analyst Constantin Hesse pointed to improved execution, operating leverage and healthy order momentum as grounds for a constructive view on 2027.

RBC, by contrast, stayed at Underperform with a EUR 36 target after digesting the detailed quarterly report.

Order Book Gets a Service Kick

Among the contracts underpinning the order pipeline is a DenkerWulf order for the Bredenbek wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein, announced roughly two weeks ago. The deal covers nine N149/5.X turbines with a combined capacity of 51.3 MW, alongside a 20-year premium service agreement.

Nordex has flagged 24 February 2027 as the date for publication of its 2026 annual results.
