OHB Balances Lofty Broker Targets Against a Sector-Wide Slide
Published on 11/02/2026 at 03:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deTwo brokers are holding firm on OHB SE even as the stock took a sharp hit, with Jefferies and Berenberg both keeping "Buy" ratings and price targets well above current levels. Jefferies analyst Chloe Lemarie reaffirmed her recommendation on Friday, ahead of third-quarter results, with a price target of 280 euros. She expects the positive trends from the first half to carry through. Berenberg had already left its own "Buy" rating and 358-euro target unchanged on Tuesday. Both calls are forward-looking expectations rather than reported figures — OHB has yet to publish its nine-month numbers, scheduled for 12 November.
A Pullback Without a Clear Trigger
The stock lost 9.9% on Friday, a decline that coincided with weakness across the wider technology sector. Airbus, Leonardo and Thales all fell in the same session. According to media reports, profit-taking after a strong run-up could explain the retreat, though no confirmed cause has been established. No concrete company-specific catalyst was identified for the drop, and a direct link to the pressure on tech stocks was not substantiated.
Two Partnerships, Two Levels of Commitment
Away from the trading floor, OHB has lined up two separate partnerships that differ markedly in how binding they are. The more concrete of the two is a strategic alliance with MediaMobil Communication GmbH, agreed on 26 October. Under the deal, OHB is set to acquire 25% of MediaMobil through a capital increase — a stake that is planned rather than reported as completed. The arrangement covers both collaboration and equity participation.

The second is a memorandum of understanding signed with Astroscale Holdings Inc. on Wednesday. The two companies intend to explore joint opportunities in space security, space situational awareness and in-orbit services. No specific projects or order volume were disclosed; the MoU sets out an intent to examine possibilities, not a firm commitment.
Moon Studies and a Completed Test Rig
On the operational front, the European Space Agency recently tasked subsidiary OHB System AG with feasibility and preliminary design studies for the planned lunar infrastructure concept OASIS. OHB serves as prime contractor for the overall system concept. The company did not disclose an order value, and the studies do not constitute a construction or operations contract.
OHB also reported on 22 October that it had successfully wrapped up the EU-funded Eu-BEST project. Its OHB Digital Connect unit built the modular test stand for rocket engine testing at the Mainz site and completed final acceptance. EU funding for the project amounted to 4.96 million euros.
Investors will get their next hard data point on 12 November, when OHB presents results for the first nine months of 2026. Until then, the broker targets and the partnership announcements remain the main reference points for a stock that has just given back a chunk of its recent gains.
