OHB Closes Out Mainz Rocket-Test Rig as Broker Targets Hold Firm
Published on 10/31/2026 at 20:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deOHB Digital Connect has wrapped up the EU-backed Eu-BEST project, completing construction and final acceptance of a modular test stand for rocket engine trials at its Mainz site. The announcement, dated 22 October, marks the end of a programme launched on 1 November 2023 with EUR 4.96 million in European Union funding under Horizon Europe.
The subsidiary handled the mechanical structures and developed a thrust-measurement system, while project coordination sat with Eiffage Énergie Systèmes – Clemessy.
The milestone landed in a busy week for the Bremen-based space group. On Wednesday, OHB and Astroscale Holdings Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding to explore possible cooperation in space security, space situational awareness and in-orbit services. Neither side attached concrete projects, order volumes or revenue figures to the non-binding accord.
Two days earlier, OHB had agreed a strategic partnership with MediaMobil Communication GmbH. Under a capital increase, OHB is to take a 25% stake in the company, a move intended to deepen its satellite-communications capabilities. No purchase price was disclosed.

Jefferies and Berenberg Keep Buy Ratings
On the analyst side, Jefferies reaffirmed its buy recommendation on Thursday and left its price target at EUR 280. Analyst Chloe Lemarie expects the positive margin trends seen in the first half to carry through ahead of the upcoming quarterly figures, and regards OHB as on track to meet its annual targets.
Berenberg had already restated its own buy rating on Tuesday with a target of EUR 358. Both houses are therefore holding to their constructive stances.
The next scheduled financial update is 12 November, when OHB is due to publish its quarterly report for the third quarter of 2026, covering nine-month figures.
