A 9.2% slide left Primary Hydrogen stock at 0.7450 Euro on Friday, capping a bruising stretch in which the shares have shed 26% over the past 30 days and now sit 53% below their 52-week high. The retreat has come amid thin trading volumes and a broad pullback from speculative resource names, with media reports pointing to fading investor appetite for exploration plays that has been building for several weeks.

The macro backdrop has done little to help. Since early September, mounting geopolitical uncertainty tied to the Iran conflict has pushed oil prices higher and lifted bond yields, dragging major equity indices into the red and prompting market participants to trim exposure to smaller explorers. Capital in turbulent periods tends to gravitate toward established assets, leaving juniors such as Primary Hydrogen facing added headwinds.

Airborne Survey Sets the Stage

None of that has slowed the company's operational momentum. Preparations are advancing at Wicheeda North, its rare earth project in British Columbia, where Precision GeoSurveys Inc. has been enlisted to fly an airborne radiometric survey spanning 738 line-kilometres. That work is scheduled to wrap up on September 20, with preliminary results expected by the end of the month.

The survey paves the way for the property's first-ever drill program. Radius Drilling Corp. has been contracted to handle roughly 1,500 metres of drilling, with crews set to mobilise on October 1 and finish by November 1, 2026. Management says the campaign is fully funded from existing cash reserves and has cleared all permitting requirements.

Hydrogen Portfolio Takes Shape

While British Columbia work ramps up, Primary Hydrogen has been steadily assembling acreage in natural hydrogen. The company picked up the Wallace project in Nova Scotia about three weeks ago, adding 68 claims to its holdings. That followed the earlier staking of Northumberland, also in Nova Scotia, where two licences covering roughly 1,166 hectares were secured on August 17 along the northern rim of the Cumberland Basin.

Ontario rounds out the portfolio. Roughly a month ago the company staked Seagull North, a block of 313 contiguous mining claims in the Thunder Bay Mining District, positioned next to active natural hydrogen and helium drilling. Together these properties form the base from which the company intends to push its exploration agenda forward.

Boardroom Reshuffle

Summer brought changes to the leadership team as well. David Jackson stepped into the roles of President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Benjamin Asuncion, who remains with the company as a Director. Christopher Longton has served as Vice President Exploration since late July, taking charge of the technical side of the exploration effort. On Tuesday, management also released the results of the annual general meeting.
