Qiagen Sets November 4 for Full Q3 Release as EQT Buyout Reshapes Analyst Coverage
Published on 10/29/2026 at 14:22 | Editorial boerse-global.deQiagen will publish its complete third-quarter 2026 results on November 4 at roughly 22:05 Frankfurt time, and the company has confirmed it will not host a conference call to discuss the figures. The disclosure follows provisional numbers issued on October 21, which showed net sales of $548 million for the quarter — a figure that held steady on both a reported and a constant-currency basis — alongside adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.65, likewise unchanged across both currency measures.
Alongside those headline figures, Qiagen has suspended its full-year 2026 guidance for as long as the EQT transaction remains outstanding.
A Cash Offer Anchors the Story
The backdrop to the muted reporting schedule is a recommended voluntary cash takeover agreed roughly a week ago between Qiagen and EQT Private Equity. Crown NL Bidco B.V., the acquisition vehicle controlled by EQT, is offering €46.50 per share for all outstanding Qiagen stock, valuing the company at approximately €10.8 billion. Both the management board and the supervisory board back the offer and unanimously recommend that shareholders accept it.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Qiagen?
Completion is expected around mid-2027, subject to conditions including a minimum acceptance threshold of 50% plus one share and the receipt of regulatory clearances. In trading, the stock added 0.2% to €45.22, leaving it below the agreed offer price.
Brokers Rework Their Models
The bid has prompted a wave of revisions across sell-side coverage, with the adjustments pointing in different directions. Barclays cut its rating to Equal Weight from Overweight on Tuesday, according to media reports, and trimmed its price target to $53 from $55. Citi moved the other way on Monday, lifting its target to $52 from $45 while reaffirming a Neutral stance — meaning only Barclays changed its recommendation among the two, even as their targets diverged.
Two further downgrades have been reported since the agreement was announced. JPMorgan lowered its rating to Neutral from Overweight on October 22, reducing its price target to $52 from $55. A day later, on October 23, Baird moved to Neutral from Outperform while holding its target at $52.
BlackRock Stake Disclosed
Separately, BlackRock reported a voting rights holding of 13.75% as of October 22, including indirect actual and potential voting rights.
