Sanofi Draws Fresh Analyst Targets as Dupixent Powers Upgraded Outlook
Published on 11/07/2026 at 06:03 | Editorial boerse-global.deTwo brokerage houses have nudged their price targets for Sanofi higher in the wake of the French drugmaker's stronger full-year guidance, though neither was moved to change its rating on the stock. Morgan Stanley lifted its objective from 82 to 86 euros on Tuesday, with analyst Thibault Boutherin keeping the shares at "Equal Weight." A day earlier, Barclays had raised its own target from 83 to 90 euros while also holding its "Equal Weight" stance, and a third research firm marked up its number without altering its recommendation either.
The round of revisions followed Sanofi's decision on 30 October to raise its forecast for 2026. Management now expects sales to grow at a low double-digit percentage rate at constant exchange rates, with adjusted earnings per share climbing by a mid-teens percentage on the same currency basis.
Third-Quarter Momentum
The upgraded guidance rests on a robust third quarter. Sanofi posted net sales of EUR 14,444 million for the period, a gain of 14.3 percent at constant exchange rates. Business earnings per share came in at EUR 3.55, up 19.6 percent on a currency-adjusted basis.
Dupixent remains the engine behind that performance. Revenue from the blockbuster drug jumped 34.8 percent to EUR 5.7 billion, underscoring its outsized role in the group's growth story.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Sanofi?
A Pipeline Setback
Not every piece of news has been positive. Sanofi has halted development of SAR448272, an orally administered STAT6 degrader licensed from Nurix Therapeutics, after fresh non-clinical findings. According to media reports on Wednesday, the company told Leerink Partners that the results did not justify further work; the Phase 1 trial was stopped and the program shelved.
Nurix disclosed in a regulatory filing on Tuesday that it no longer anticipates future milestone payments or royalties tied to the candidate, so the termination also removes a projected revenue stream for the licensing partner. The decision reflects an assessment of that single molecule rather than a broader retreat from the STAT6 pathway, according to the reports.
Deal Appetite and Vaccine Supply
On the business-development front, finance chief François Roger told Reuters on 30 October that Sanofi would consider acquisitions above its historical range of $2 billion to $5 billion. The company's greater interest lies in late-stage drug candidates and potentially in products that are already on the market.
Sanofi at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
In vaccines, Novavax said on Thursday it intends to supply Nuvaxovid to Sanofi for the 2026–2027 COVID-19 immunization season, booking reimbursement as product sales. Sanofi Canada had announced on 28 October that the shot would be available across all ten Canadian provinces and Yukon, accessible through provincial respiratory-illness programs and most private insurers.
