Sivers Semiconductors Gains 11% as Two Sigma Trims Short Below Disclosure Threshold
Published on 11/08/2026 at 17:12 | Editorial boerse-global.deSivers Semiconductors closed Friday's session at 1.47 euros, up 11%, catching the tailwind of a broader rebound in chip stocks. The advance came a day after an AI-driven selloff hit the sector, with names including Nvidia, Lam Research and Micron recovering ground, according to AP.
The same session brought a regulatory filing of a different sort. Sweden's financial supervisory register showed Two Sigma Investments had cut its disclosed short position in Sivers to below 0.5% on Thursday, down from 0.71% on Wednesday. The entry marks a drop beneath the public disclosure threshold — not a confirmed full exit from the bearish bet.
Short Sellers Diverge
GSA Capital Partners LLP moved the other way. The same register recorded the firm lifting its disclosed net short position from 0.52% to 0.62% on Wednesday, putting the two investors on opposite tracks.

LiDAR Order Book Takes Shape
Behind the trading noise, Sivers has operational news of its own. Roughly two weeks ago the company said a strategic LiDAR customer had placed production orders tied to automotive and industrial sensor programmes. Shipments are slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with Sivers pointing to a transition into production for those programmes in 2027 — a distinction between when deliveries start and when full output ramps.
Shareholders Back Option Pool and New Auditor
At an extraordinary general meeting held around the same time, investors approved a long-term employee incentive scheme covering up to 7.28 million options. The same gathering authorised measures connected to Series C shares and transfers to cover social security contributions. Shareholders also signed off on Ernst & Young AB as auditor, replacing Deloitte AB.
