Cash Burn, Quiet Registers, and the Dilution Threat

Against that hopeful trajectory stands a concrete risk. With no operating revenue from offtake contracts, ongoing development consumes capital. SEC regulatory registers showed no material changes over the past 14 days and no insider transactions over the past 365 days, yet the funding needs of lengthy test campaigns remain heavy.

If the 16 modules fall short of the hoped-for stability, or if manufacturing consistency lags specifications, significant delays loom. Failed field trials would block the path to pilot scale. Without market-ready technology and without customers, the company would eventually have only one route left: raising fresh capital in the public markets. That step would dilute existing shareholders and weigh further on a stock already down sharply this year.

What to Watch Through Year-End 2026

The framework for the coming months is clearly drawn. As long as the 16 modules produce reliable data and no serious manufacturing setbacks surface, the speculation on a successful scale-up stays alive. If the reliability of the integrated system breaks down in the outdoor tests, the 2026 development timeline risks failing outright.

The next concrete catalyst is the company hitting its technical targets by the end of 2026. Until then, investors should focus on data covering module performance repeatability and field-operating stability. Only when SunHydrogen delivers hard reliability metrics — or unexpectedly announces a first offtake agreement — does a new fundamental basis for the shares emerge. Until that point, the equity remains a pure development promise, and whether it is kept will be decided on the test bench.
