Vincorion's Order Book Gives Investors a Window Into 2026 — and the Share Price Is Already Reacting

The defense contractor's latest interim figures have done more than just beat expectations — they've handed shareholders a roadmap for the rest of the fiscal year. Vincorion's first-half revenue climbed 42.4 percent to €150.2 million, while adjusted EBIT advanced 32.8 percent to €28.4 million, translating into an adjusted margin of 18.9 percent. The market's verdict came swiftly: the stock finished Friday at €22.34, up 4.4 percent on the day, extending a 30-day rally that has now added roughly 23 percent to the share price.
What's driving the enthusiasm isn't just the headline numbers. Management used the report to tighten its full-year outlook, steering guidance toward the upper end of the previously communicated €280 million to €320 million revenue range. That revision, paired with an adjusted EBIT margin forecast of 18 to 19 percent for the year, signals that the growth spurt is expected to carry through all four quarters rather than fade as a first-half anomaly.
A Backlog That Does the Heavy Lifting
The most compelling figure in the release may well be the order book. Vincorion closed the half with €1.2 billion in contracted orders, meaning the bulk of planned 2026 revenue is already secured by firm commitments. New orders during the period reached €330.2 million — a dramatic jump from €72.7 million in the prior-year stretch — with June alone contributing more than €100 million in fresh contracts.
Demand is being powered by two distinct engines. The Vehicle Systems segment posted a 72.0 percent revenue surge to €72.6 million, fueled by stabilization products and new orders for armored platforms. Meanwhile, the Power Systems unit is benefiting from strong interest in ground-based air defense systems, alongside Vincorion's role in the EU-backed SENTINEL project for tactical energy systems. To keep pace, the company is expanding production capacity across both divisions.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Vincorion?
Second-quarter revenue came in at €81.2 million, up from €56.2 million a year earlier. Net income for the half reached €16.9 million versus €9.8 million in the comparable period, with earnings per share at €0.34.
Cash Flow Turns the Corner
One of the more quietly significant developments sits in the cash flow statement. After a first quarter that saw free cash flow dip to negative €7.1 million, the second quarter swung to a positive €1.1 million — a sign that working capital pressures are easing as the order pipeline converts into invoiced revenue.
The sell-side has taken notice. JPMorgan lifted its price target from €23.50 to €27.00 on Thursday, maintaining an "Overweight" rating, with analyst David H Perry citing upward revisions to earnings-per-share estimates for 2026 through 2030 — raised by roughly 10 percent annually. Berenberg followed suit the same day, reaffirming its "Buy" call and nudging its target from €26 to €27.
A Stock Still Below Its Highs
Despite the recent run, the shares remain 6.1 percent below their 52-week peak of €23.78, reached in May. That leaves room for further upside even after the advance. The stock has come a long way since its March 2026 IPO on Frankfurt's Prime Standard, where 20.3 million shares were placed at €17.00. Its scheduled inclusion in the SDAX in June added visibility, while STAR Capital retains its position as anchor shareholder with a free float of roughly 52.5 percent.
Technically, the momentum has pushed the relative strength index to 74.4, a level that suggests the stock is stretched in the near term. But for investors with a longer horizon, the €1.2 billion backlog offers something more durable than chart signals: revenue visibility that cushions against short-term volatility and provides a foundation for the capacity expansion now underway.
