Two research notes landed within three days of each other, and suddenly Vincorion is back on the radar of institutional investors. Oddo BHF's Aurelien Sivignion kicked things off on Sunday, lifting the defense supplier from "Neutral" to "Outperform" with a €23 price target. Deutsche Bank Research followed suit yesterday, with analyst Mira Wiegratz initiating coverage at Buy and a €26 target — the more ambitious of the two.

The stock has steadied in the wake of the calls. In today's session it trades at €18.88, up 0.9%, though that still leaves it 21% below its 52-week high of €23.78.

Where the optimism comes from

Both brokers are leaning on the company's medium- and long-term prospects. Wiegratz expects Vincorion to deliver average annual revenue growth of 15% through 2030. Oddo BHF's €23 target implies meaningful upside from current levels as well.

What both houses are rewarding is a solid market position in an environment shaped by rising defense budgets. The shares had gone through a softer stretch in recent weeks, and the fresh institutional backing marks a shift in tone.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Vincorion?

Order intake tells the story

The fundamentals behind the notes are hard to argue with. Vincorion is seeing accelerating demand in its Vehicle Systems and Power Systems segments, driven by European rearmament efforts.

The interim numbers bear this out. Order intake in the first half of 2026 reached €330.2 million, compared with just €72.7 million in the same period a year earlier. The total order backlog stood at €1.2 billion at the end of the half.

Revenue for the six months came in at €150.2 million, with adjusted EBIT of €28.4 million. That backlog gives management a predictable base for the months ahead and noticeably improves visibility on future capacity utilization.

Guidance points to the top of the range

Management is looking at full-year 2026 with confidence. The company expects revenue at the upper end of its €280 million to €320 million guidance range, alongside an adjusted EBIT margin of 18% to 19%.

Even with the confirmed outlook and the new Buy rating, the gap to the 52-week high of €23.78 remains wide. Market participants, it seems, are still pricing in the medium-term growth story only cautiously — a hesitation that the two fresh broker notes have yet to fully dislodge.
