Neotech Metals Unlocks Processing Edge as Drilling Extends Pike Zone

Apatite-bound rare earths at Neotech Metals’ Hecla-Kilmer project have shown leach recoveries above 96% in early tests, offering a simpler processing route than traditional monazite or loparite sources. That technical distinction comes as the company wraps up a 10,000-metre drilling campaign that extended the mineralized Pike Zone 600 metres north, bringing total strike length to approximately 1,600 metres.

Highlights from the 2025 programme include hole HK24?042, which returned 372 metres grading 0.4% total rare earth oxides (TREO) along with 1.21% P?O? and 0.11% Nb?O?. Hole HK25?049 intersected 107.5 metres at 0.63% TREO and HK25?050 delivered 76 metres at 0.71% TREO, 3.7% P?O? and 0.1% Nb?O?. Grades trend higher to the north and the zone remains open along strike and at depth, leaving room for further expansion.

The project has also yielded gallium (Ga?O?), a critical metal for the semiconductor industry. Infrastructure is solid: Hecla?Kilmer sits about 20 kilometres from the 180?MW Otter Rapids hydroelectric plant and has rail access already in place. Roughly 8,000 metres of the drilling were dedicated to gathering data for the first official resource estimate, which CEO Reagan Glazier confirmed is expected later in 2026. The remaining metres were used for exploration.

Markets reacted sharply to the update. On May 11, Neotech shares jumped 21.05% in Toronto to C$0.3450 and gained 20.54% in Frankfurt to €0.20. Prior to the announcement the stock had climbed roughly 4% in the previous week, but the drilling results triggered a swift re?rating. Over the past week the equity is up 12.08% and since the start of the year it has advanced 37.21%. The relative strength index now stands at 70.1, indicating the shares are technically overbought in the short term.
