Chicago’s horn-led catalogue and changing line-up
Chicago are an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. Their sound combines rock instrumentation with prominent brass arrangements and elements of jazz, pop and soul. The band’s official tour-page description says they have recorded 38 albums.
The current line-up listed by the venue includes Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane and James Pankow. It also names Wally Reyes Jr, Tony Obrohta, Loren Gold, Ray Herrmann, Neil Donell, Eric Baines and Ramon Ray Yslas.
Nine concerts place Chicago in a returning Las Vegas run
The residency format connects the upcoming Venetian dates with Chicago’s long-running live identity. Ticketnews names 25 or 6 to 4, Saturday in the Park and Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? among the band’s early recordings.
The same catalogue also includes If You Leave Me Now, Hard to Say I’m Sorry and You’re the Inspiration. Those titles reflect the contrast between Chicago’s brass-led rock and their melodic ballads.
