Def Leppard release the box set Volume Four: The Rarities on 13 November 2026, adding an archival collection to the band’s catalogue. The release brings together studio albums, rarities and previously unreleased recordings in physical editions.
Def Leppard’s Volume Four brings albums and rarities together
The collection is the fourth volume in a six-volume series covering the band’s recorded output. It combines three studio albums with three discs of demos, live recordings, alternate mixes and collaborations in the six-CD edition.
The official CD listing gives the release date as 13 November 2026 and identifies the six-CD format. The matching vinyl edition contains 11 LPs and presents the collection in a larger physical format.
Three studio albums anchor Def Leppard’s fourth volume
The official Volume 4 announcement names Def Leppard, Diamond Star Halos and Drastic Symphonies among the collection’s studio albums.
By placing those albums beside demos and live recordings, the release connects the band’s later studio work with archival material. The set therefore works as both a studio-album collection and a rarities package.
Archival tracks give the collection its broader shape
The rarities material includes new mixes of Personal Jesus and Heroes, alongside collaborations, alternate versions and recordings that were previously unreleased. Several tracks are presented on CD for the first time.
The physical package also includes a rigid slipcase, a hardback book, band interviews, photography by Ross Halfin and liner notes by Paul Elliott. Apple Music lists 40 songs and identifies the compilation as issued by Bludgeon Riffola Limited under exclusive licence to Universal Music Operations Limited.
