Dire Straits entered the UK Official Physical Albums Chart at number 18 in the chart week of 23 to 29 October 2026 with On Every Street. The Official Charts Company lists the album as a new entry in its physical albums ranking.
On Every Street lands at number 18 in the physical list
The chart week ran from 23 to 29 October 2026, and the listing is marked as new. The Official Physical Albums Chart is compiled from CD, vinyl and other physical formats across seven days.
The Official Physical Albums Chart gives On Every Street one week at number 18. The album record names Mercury/UMR as its label and lists a historical peak of number one in the Official Albums Chart.
A catalogue title brings Dire Straits back to chart attention
On Every Street is the final studio album in the Dire Straits catalogue. Its appearance in a new physical-chart entry therefore concerns an established work rather than a newly recorded studio album.
The band’s catalogue also includes Dire Straits, Communiqué, Making Movies, Love Over Gold and Brothers in Arms. Together with On Every Street, those titles define the recorded work of the British rock band named in the chart listing.
The UK result belongs to a physical format chart
The number 18 position applies specifically to the UK Official Physical Albums Chart. It is not a streaming position or a general assessment of the album’s entire listening audience.
That distinction gives the entry a clear format and territory. The list covers physical sales across a seven-day period, while the album record separately identifies the Mercury/UMR release and its wider chart history.
