Double Live gets its first vinyl release from Garth Brooks
The official music news page lists 6 November 2026 as release day for the vinyl edition of Double Live. It describes the format as the album’s first vinyl release and connects it with a Walmart Live special.
The release therefore links Brooks’s concert history with a physical edition of one of his established live titles. The official music news page names both the release date and the first-time vinyl format.
Garth Brooks built a country catalogue for the live album
Garth Brooks is an American country singer and songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He began performing while attending Oklahoma State University before building a career that joined traditional country writing with broad arena presentation.
The Country Music Hall of Fame describes a musical range that includes honky-tonk, country-rock, dramatic balladry and cowboy songs. Its Country Music Hall of Fame profile also places Double Live among a catalogue that includes No Fences, Ropin’ the Wind, The Chase, In Pieces, Fresh Horses and Sevens.
Why Double Live belongs in Garth Brooks’s vinyl story
Double Live is not presented as a new concert recording. It is an established live album receiving its first vinyl edition, giving Brooks’s performance-focused catalogue a new physical format.
That distinction matters for the release itself. The date belongs to the vinyl edition, while the Walmart Live connection keeps the presentation tied to Brooks’s performance identity rather than treating the record as an unrelated studio release.
