GENER8ION’s five awards include Video of the Year
The UK Music Video Awards ceremony took place at the Roundhouse in London on 4 November 2026. Dork’s ceremony account records five prizes for Storm, including Video of the Year.
The published winners list also names Best Dance/Electronic Video - International, Best Choreography, Best Casting and Best Performance. The five awards cover the film’s direction, choreography, casting and performance as well as its international dance and electronic category.
GENER8ION connects electronic music with film
GENER8ION is a French audiovisual project built around electronic producer Surkin and filmmaker Romain Gavras. Its work combines recorded music with film, choreography and contemporary-art presentation, extending the project beyond a conventional music video.
That structure is visible in Storm. Gavras directed the film, Yung Lean starred in it, and Damien Jalet received the choreography credit, linking the electronic track to a large-scale visual production.
Storm carries the project into five award categories
The winning film was produced by Iconoclast, while Iconoclast Music is listed as its record company. The awards therefore recognise several parts of one GENER8ION production rather than separate songs or releases.
Yung Lean is credited among the performers, alongside Leo Merrien and the cast. The same creative team appears across the direction, performance, casting and choreography categories listed for the UK Music Video Awards.
