Columbia Records sets BLUE for 23 October
Columbia Records’ artist page lists the EP as an upcoming release from girl in red and places its arrival on 23 October 2026. The same page directs listeners to blue while presenting BLUE as the EP title.
The wording gives the project two clearly named elements: the upper-case EP title and the lower-case track title. NME describes the connected single as girl in red’s first new music in over a year, placing the EP after that gap.
girl in red’s Norwegian identity meets BLUE
RTT News identifies girl in red as Norwegian indie-pop artist Marie Ulven. The release therefore belongs to Ulven’s solo recording project rather than a separate band formation.
The new material keeps the focus on songwriting and recorded music. NME describes the single through themes of uncertainty and the loss that follows the end of a relationship.
The blue video places the release in Oslo
Visual details also tie the single to Oslo. NME reports that Isak Jenssen directed the video and that it was filmed in Ulven’s hometown.
On 23 October 2026, the EP follows the single blue and its video while moving the project from one named track to the BLUE EP format. That gives the release a clearly defined musical and visual setting.
