Corona Capital puts Gorillaz on Mexico City’s Friday bill

The official tour listing places Gorillaz at CORONA CAPITAL 2026 in Mexico City on 20 November 2026. Ticketnews describes the act as a headliner for the opening night and carries the opening-night billing.

The Friday programme includes Mumford & Sons, Daniel Caesar, James Blake and The Kooks alongside Gorillaz. The Strokes and Twenty One Pilots headline the remaining festival days.

Gorillaz bring a virtual-band identity to the festival stage

Gorillaz are a British virtual band created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The project moves between alternative rock, hip-hop, pop and electronic production.

The animated presentation and rotating collaborations remain central to the project’s identity. Its live billing places that virtual concept in conventional arena and festival settings. The 2026 run is presented as The Mountain Tour, supporting the ninth studio album album-led tour description The Mountain.
