Metallica bring Life Burns Faster to Sphere on 17 October
The official Metallica calendar places the date within the M72 WORLD TOUR schedule. Its listing names Sphere, Las Vegas, Nevada, and 17 October 2026, while the concert page carries the same day and venue in its heading through the official date listing.

Metallica’s thrash-metal identity meets a Las Vegas residency
Metallica are an American heavy metal band whose music is closely associated with thrash metal. The group’s established profile combines fast rhythmic guitar work with a four-piece line-up led by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich alongside Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo.
That musical identity gives the Las Vegas date a clear place in the band’s live work. The residency title links the immersive Sphere setting with a concert programme built around Metallica’s own catalogue, while the official calendar keeps the act under the broader M72 WORLD TOUR heading.
Further Sphere dates follow the 17 October concert
Metallica’s next listed Sphere dates are 22 and 24 October 2026. The calendar then gives 29 and 31 October 2026, followed by 5 and 7 November 2026, all in Las Vegas.
The schedule continues with dates at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on 19 and 21 November 2026. Those later United States concerts remain separate dates in the calendar rather than changing the Las Vegas focus of the 17 October performance.
