GLOW Block Party puts The Chainsmokers on Pennsylvania Avenue
Club Glow’s current listing names The Chainsmokers as the headline act for the GLOW Block Party. The organiser describes the appearance as the duo’s first large-scale DC performance in seven years, giving the Washington date a clearly defined place in their live schedule. The 24 October event details place the programme on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The event is scheduled to run from 3pm to 9:30pm local time, and Club Glow marks it as an 18-plus event. Its format combines a main stage, a Homegrown Stage, food vendors, art installations and other programme elements across the avenue.
The Chainsmokers bring electronic pop to a city event
The Recording Academy lists the duo’s New York formation and members as Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. Their work includes the electronic-pop tracks #Selfie, Don’t Let Me Down and Closer, while their live presentation combines DJ and production roles.
The Washington programme therefore connects an electronic catalogue with an open-air city setting rather than a conventional club room. The seven-year comparison supplied by the organiser also gives the DC appearance a specific place in the duo’s live history.
A full-day programme surrounds the headline set
The main-stage line-up includes MK, Lavern, Eyezic and Emmy Adelle. Club Glow also lists a separate Homegrown Stage with additional performers, without assigning those artists to the headline bill.
The listing for 600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW identifies the location in Washington, DC. The address places the event between Third and Sixth Streets NW on the city’s Pennsylvania Avenue.
