Petronas Twin Towers hosts the Listening to Taiwan - NTSO 2026 Asia Tour Concert on 12 October 2026 at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The concert begins at 8pm at the hall on Level Two of Tower Two, bringing a scheduled orchestral performance into one of the city's best-known buildings.
Listening to Taiwan comes to Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS
The National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra is the organiser of the Malaysia performance, which is part of its 2026 Asia tour. The programme is led by Taiwanese conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang and features Malaysian pianist Vincent Ong, according to the orchestra's published event details.
The listed programme includes Ching-Shan Chang's Echoes of Eight Decades, a work commissioned by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11, Tyzen Hsiao's The Angel from Formosa and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances, Op. 45. The Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS programme lists the performance for 12 October 2026 at 8pm.
Petronas Twin Towers places the concert inside Tower Two
Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS is located on Level Two of Tower Two, so the concert venue forms part of the tower complex rather than being a separate Kuala Lumpur attraction. This links the October programme directly to the building: visitors attending the performance enter a concert hall within the 88-storey structure.
The official tower history records a height of 451.9 metres and identifies Cesar Pelli as the master architect. Planning began in January 1992, excavation followed in March 1993, and the steel-and-glass towers were completed in June 1996. The official tower history also places the Skybridge between the towers at Level 41, with the observation deck at Level 86.
The concert date therefore offers a different way to experience the complex from a standard observation visit. On 12 October 2026, the principal destination is the performance hall in Tower Two, while the Skybridge and observation deck remain named parts of the wider visitor experience.
